Single-row, pre-lubricated, normal accuracy.
Deep Groove Ball Bearings are one of the most widely used rolling bearings.
With small friction and high-limit speed, Ball Bearings are cost-effective and require little maintenance.
Chromium Steel (GCr15) made with heat treating, provides high and uniform hardness, good wear resistance.
Suitable for all kinds of industrial equipment, micro motor, small rotary motor, office equipment and so on.
Shields (Designation Suffix Z/ZZ) - High speed. Protect from dirt and debris.
Sealed (Designation Suffix RS/2RS) - Made of sheet steel reinforced NBR (oil- and liquid-resistant). Lower limit speed than Shield Bearings.
Single Row Deep Groove Ball Bearings are the most common type of rolling bearings. Their use is very widespread.
In addition, to open type bearings, these bearings often have steel shields or rubber seals installed on one or both sides and are pre-lubricated with grease. Also, snap rings are sometimes used on the periphery. As to cages, pressed steel ones are the most common.
For big deep groove ball bearings, machined brass cages are used.
Machined cages are also used for high-speed applications.
Ball bearing stiffness is an important parameter in the design of machine tool spindles because of its effect on the performance of the spindle system. As bearing stiffness is given in manufacturers' catalogues and handbooks it would be useful to derive an equation to predict this parameter. Such an equation for predicting the stiffness of deep-groove ball bearings is derived and expressed in terms of the available bearing dimensions. Experimental verification showed that the predicted results are satisfactory.
